About the project

The Qwetu & Qejani Karen project is a purpose-built student residence developed by Acorn Holdings along Bogani Road in Karen, Nairobi, in partnership with the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). Representing an investment of around KES 1.9 billion, it combines the group's two brands: 540 Qwetu beds (premium) and 810 Qejani beds (affordable), for a total capacity of 1,350 students. The complex features nine residential blocks facing Bogani Road, with three more planned facing CUEA's main campus. Qejani rates start at around KES 12,500 per month, while Qwetu rooms range from KES 15,300 to 34,000 depending on the option. Beyond CUEA students, the residence serves nearby institutions such as Africa Nazarene University, Multimedia University, the Kenya School of Law and the JKUAT Karen campus. It offers the secure, modern setting typical of Qwetu and Qejani residences.
