About the project
Qejani Student Residences is Acorn Holdings' affordable student-housing brand, from East Africa's leading provider of purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA). Founded by Edward Kirathe, the Acorn group operates Qejani alongside its premium Qwetu brand. Qejani residences offer shared rooms on an all-inclusive basis, from around KES 10,000 to 12,500 per month, targeting budget-conscious students. In Chiromo, on Riverside Drive, the Qejani residence provides 1,950 beds close to the University of Nairobi's Chiromo campus, alongside 850 Qwetu beds. In Karen, along Bogani Road, Qejani adds 810 beds near the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). The residences offer a secure, modern and community-focused environment designed for students' living and studies. With the opening of these sites, Acorn's portfolio passed 8,500 operational beds, plus 11,500 under development, cementing its position as the regional leader in student housing.
