About the project
Kent is Growthpoint Properties' very first residential venture in KwaZulu-Natal, a nine-storey building representing a R142 million investment, built on the La Lucia Mall site, one of the group's oldest retail assets north of Durban. The scheme comprises 63 one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 51 to 99 m², priced between R1.8 and R3.6 million. A key drawcard: 90% of the apartments enjoy sea views. The building sits just across from La Lucia's much-loved public park. Amenities include secure parking, card access control, an entertainment area with swimming pool, pet-friendly ground-floor apartments with private gardens, SMEG appliances, and lobby cubicles where residents can collect purchases from selected mall stores. The project is part of turning La Lucia Mall into a mixed-use, live-work-play environment. Construction began in July 2021 for delivery before the end of 2022.
