About the project

Cité ADO is a large social and economic housing programme built in Yopougon Azito, in western Abidjan, with SICOGI (the Ivorian Construction and Real Estate Management Company) acting as delegated project owner for sales. The programme comprises 2,172 social and economic homes, along with a primary school, a middle school, a shopping centre, a medical centre, play areas and a youth centre, forming a genuine new town. Launched in 2014 and delivered from 2017, the operation mobilised over 27 billion CFA francs from the Ivorian State, in agreement with SICOGI, to build and service the homes. Key handovers were staggered: 512 subscribers served in December 2016, then a further 652 buyers in January 2021. The project primarily targets Ivorian households becoming homeowners.
