"Bassam Ville Nouvelle" is a new-town project led by SICOGI (renamed the National Housing Agency, ANAH, in December 2021) on a 50-hectare site along the Grand-Bassam road, east of Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Still at the planning stage, the program aims to create living areas meeting modern urban-planning standards, with roads, utilities and integrated green spaces. For funding and delivery, SICOGI has partnered with China's Huali Holding Group, whose delegation visited the 50-hectare site. The project is part of Côte d'Ivoire's national housing policy, described by the government as a priority alongside the Concorde PK18 operation in Abobo. Grand-Bassam, a UNESCO World Heritage historic town and seaside resort near Abidjan, lies near the site. Precise figures on unit numbers, typologies and prices have not yet been made public.
