Zafara Plazza
Five-star mixed-use complex in Ouaga 2000, SONATUR's new HQ

About the project
Zafara Plazza is a modern mixed-use complex being built in Ouaga 2000, at the heart of Ouagadougou, facing the National Heroes Monument. Led by SONATUR (the national urban land development company) and entrusted to pan-African group Reliance West Africa, it will house SONATUR's future headquarters. "Zafara" means "victory" in the local language. The foundation stone was laid on 17 November 2025, with a construction period estimated at 36 months. Built on a 13,498 sqm plot with about 48,000 sqm of floor area, the project centers on a landmark building rising up to 83 m (described as around twenty storeys) housing a five-star hotel, complemented by five seven-level buildings for offices, retail and high-end apartments, plus a 400-seat multipurpose hall. It provides 324 parking spaces, 3,375 sqm of green space (25% of the site) and rooftop solar panels powering common areas. Positioned as the country's first international-standard mixed-use complex, it aims to create thousands of jobs. Apartment sales were officially launched in late December 2025.
