About the project
The Programme Construire, led by the Société Nationale Immobilière (SNI), aims to provide Gabonese citizens with modern, affordable housing. In Akiéni, in the Haut-Ogooué province (south-east), SNI designed a 141.50 m² model house with three bedrooms, a bright living room, a functional kitchen and modern sanitary facilities. On the site named Bel-Air, around ten additional homes were under construction in 2025. The programme promotes accessible ownership, with SNI marketing units for under 100,000 FCFA per month. Beyond its technical scope, the project supports local employment through its worksites and helps revive the regional economy. President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema visited the site in August 2025 to review progress.
