Phakalane Housing (BHC Joint Venture)
147 French-Provence homes at Phakalane, Gaborone

About the project
This residential estate is a 147-house joint venture developed by Time Projects Botswana with the Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC), in the Phakalane suburb north of Gaborone. The scheme combines townhouses, medium-sized houses and large upmarket houses, all designed in a French-Provence / Tuscan style. Each house was built on its own free-standing freehold property and sold to private individuals on the open market. The project stood out for several innovations: it introduced Botswana's first fibre-optic connectivity, and each house features a grey-water recycling system. Time Projects has built a strong reputation across Botswana for delivering quality, affordable developments, including full servicing of land (water, power, sewers, roads) before implementing housing on fully serviced residential stands. Phakalane, developed by Phakalane Estates, is one of the most sought-after residential districts in the Gaborone area, well known for its golf course and upscale living environment. The scheme has now been delivered.
