Irene Link Precinct
Smart 75,000 sqm mixed-use precinct next to the Irene Security Estate

About the project
Irene Link Precinct is a premier mixed-use development in Doringkloof, Centurion (Gauteng), strategically positioned along the N1 highway and adjacent to the Irene Security Estate. Led by Abland in partnership with Giflo Developments and the SOM Group, this R2 billion smart-precinct project, launched in 2019, spans roughly 75,000 sqm. It combines a shopping centre with anchor tenants such as Checkers, Woolworths and Dis-Chem, P-grade offices and a possible hotel, all designed as a Green Star-rated development. Each building integrates backup power and water plus renewable solar generation. To date, buildings A to E are complete, bringing developed space to around 50,000 sqm including the retail centre, while about 29,000 sqm of offices remain to be built. Building F, offering 200 to 5,700 sqm of space, is due for completion by May 2027. The precinct also features a 200 m underground shooting range, the only one of its kind in South Africa, adding to its distinctive character.
