The SOCOGIB estate at Ouaga 2000 is a residential development built by Burkina's construction and real-estate management company (SOCOGIB) in the upscale Ouaga 2000 district of south-eastern Ouagadougou. SOCOGIB was created in 1985 through the merger of the Société immobilière voltaïque (SIV, founded 1962 to produce housing for lower-income city dwellers) and SOPROGIM (created 1974). Located in Ouaga 2000's sector 16, an area favoured by the upper-middle class and home to institutions and premium residences, the estate offers completed, delivered homes available on the local market for sale and rent. Set near the Kosyam presidential palace and the administrative and diplomatic zones, it is a sought-after address in the Burkinabè capital.
