About the project

Cap Tamarin is a residentially-focused Smart & Happy village in the seaside resort of Tamarin, on the west coast of Mauritius. Launched in 2018 by Trimetys through its subsidiary Cap Tamarin Ltee, this 44-hectare mixed-use development is a smart, eco-friendly village in the Indian Ocean. It creates an integrated work-live-play environment focused on technology, innovation and sustainability. Trimetys, a diversified Mauritian group active in real estate, hospitality, education and agriculture and led by Kian Jhuboo and Georges Talbotier, has already delivered more than 300 residential units as well as hotels, a sports centre, a shopping centre and a school since 1998. The project secured $10 million of mezzanine funding from Vantage Capital. Smart City Scheme eligible, it lets buyers of property above $375,000 obtain a residence permit and enjoy Mauritius' favourable tax system, right next to Tamarin's beach and lagoon.
