About the project
Cap Tamarin Smart & Happy Village is a 44-hectare mixed-use project developed by Trimetys, through its subsidiary Cap Tamarin Ltée, on the west coast of Mauritius. Launched in 2018 under the Smart City Scheme, it is nestled between the iconic Tamarin Bay and La Tourelle mountain. It aims to create an integrated 'work, live and play' environment that is technology-focused, intelligent, innovative and sustainable. A key attraction for residents is a 40,000 m² landscaped park offering direct access to Tamarin beach and lagoon. The village brings together a broad range of public services: schools, a smart citizen advice office, a post office, cultural centres and an innovation centre for start-ups, SMEs and research organisations. The project benefited from USD 10 million of mezzanine funding from Vantage Capital. Trimetys, a diversified Mauritian group (real estate, hospitality, education, agriculture) led by Kian Jhuboo and Georges Talbotier, is rolling out residences, retail, hospitality and sports and education facilities, making Cap Tamarin a major lifestyle hub of the west.
