Tsehay Real Estate

Tsehay Real Estate is a property developer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is established in 2012 by CGC Construction (Ethiopia) and based in the Yeka area, near CMC Roundabout.

In 2014, Tsehay Real Estate PLC was reported as the first Chinese real estate company in Ethiopia. That year, it launched a major residential complex in the Ayat CMC area, Yeka sub-city, east of Addis Ababa: thirteen twelve-storey apartment buildings on a 30,000 sqm plot and comprising 646 apartments, with about 2.5 billion birr allocated according to Ethiopian press reports. The company funded construction from its own capital, with no advance payments collected from buyers at the time.

Ethiopian press from 2014 states the company was established by China Geology Corporation Overseas Construction Group (CGCOC) and Red Fox International Business Company, and notes a 2012 founding date. Building work was contracted to Qian Tang Construction PLC, beginning in September 2013, with a total project budget of 2.5 billion birr allocated.
