SPROLS

SPROLS (Société de promotion des logements sociaux) is a Tunisian public company founded in 1977. It builds social housing in several regions of Tunisia and has its head office in Tunis.

SPROLS is one of the country's public housing developers, together with SNIT and the Agence foncière d'habitation (AFH). The Tunisian Prime Ministry said the following after a restricted ministerial council:

• the Ministry of Equipment and Housing will transfer state-owned land in several regions to SPROLS and SNIT at a symbolic price;
• this land is meant for building social housing for sale, either through rent-to-own (location-vente) or sale with payment facilities;
• the government wants the social role of public developers, SPROLS included, to be brought back into action.
