Torres Rani
Two landmark mixed-use towers on the Maputo waterfront

About the project
Torres Rani is a landmark mixed-use development by Rani Investments on Maputo's waterfront (Marginal), adjacent to the Radisson Blu Hotel. Designed by South African firm DSA Architects International, the 74,000 sqm scheme sits on a three-storey parking podium incorporating 3,500 sqm of retail. An 18-storey tower (about 20,000 sqm) holds serviced apartments — studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units — with five duplex penthouses on the top two floors, while a 14-storey tower (about 24,000 sqm) houses offices. Completed in 2016, it is part of a $206 million joint venture with Minor Hotel Group announced in August 2014. Its sinuous forms echo Mozambique's hills and coast and earned several international awards.
