About the project

Savanna City is a large affordable residential development led by Cosmopolitan Projects in Walkerville, south-west of Johannesburg. Designated a government priority project, it will ultimately deliver more than 18,000 homes and aims to meet the region's strong housing demand. The scheme offers spacious two- and three-bedroom houses set within landscaped surroundings. Prices start around 450,000 rand for a two-bedroom and rise to about 800,000 rand for a three-bedroom, with instalments from roughly 7,200 rand a month. A financing plan is available, together with a government subsidy for eligible households (income below a set threshold). Well located, Savanna City offers easy access to the Mall of the South and Southgate, and sits about twenty minutes from central Johannesburg. This new district is progressively adding schools, shops and services to form a genuine new town.
