About the project

Nkosi City is an integrated human settlement developed in partnership between the Nkosi City Communal Property Association and Dovetail Properties, with support from national and provincial governments. It includes 3,471 residential units, comprising RDP houses, social housing apartments and bonded housing. The site provides community facilities such as schools, a provincial hospital, a police station, a community centre and a public swimming pool. The commercial and mixed‑use component features a 40,000 m² retail centre, offices, light‑industrial zones and a biomass power plant. Agricultural zones cover 241 ha of urban farms and 1,000 ha for farmer joint‑ventures.
