Marriott Executive Apartments (Sunshine)
Africa's first Marriott Executive Apartments

About the project
The Marriott Executive Apartments Addis Ababa is the first Marriott Executive Apartments property to open in Africa. Inaugurated on 30 September 2015, it is the result of a partnership between Marriott International and Sunshine Business, the group founded by Ethiopian entrepreneur Samuel Tafesse. The building comprises 108 fully serviced, furnished apartments designed for expatriate executives whose assignments require stays of more than thirty nights. Located in the heart of Addis Ababa, near Meskel Square in the Bole area and adjacent to the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) headquarters and conference centre, the property combines the comfort of an apartment with upscale hotel service. It is the first Marriott-branded property on the African continent and a flagship project of Sunshine Investment Group. Founded in 1983, the group has built more than 5,000 residential and commercial properties in Ethiopia and also operates in the Middle East.
