Kingdom Kampala
Landmark mixed-use complex in Kampala's CBD by Ruparelia Group

About the project
Kingdom Kampala is a landmark mixed-use complex developed by Dr Sudhir Ruparelia's Ruparelia Group in Kampala's central business district, rising above Nakasero. Phase One, completed in 2019 for an estimated US$300 million, turned a prime CBD site into a modern destination combining a large retail mall (Kingdom Kampala Mall), Grade-A office space and extensive parking, drawing corporate tenants, retailers and daily footfall. In January 2026 the group unveiled Phase Two: a 21-storey mixed-use tower crowned with a helipad and heliport, a rarity in Uganda's privately developed real estate. Renders show contemporary glass façades framed with brick, landscaped terraces and green rooftops, integrated into the existing mall podium. A hotel extension is also planned, featuring more than 200 luxury rooms, upscale serviced apartments, penthouses and dozens of conference rooms, positioning the development for business tourism and long-stay corporate travel. Located near Nile Avenue and UBC Hill, Kingdom Kampala underlines the group's bet on reshaping the capital's skyline. Detailed costs and timelines for the new phases have not been disclosed.
