JAT Complex (Melia Maputo Sky)
Landmark tourism and commercial complex in downtown Maputo

About the project
The JAT complex, developed by Mozambique's JAT Group, is a large tourism and commercial development in downtown Maputo, inaugurated on 25 September 2018 by President Filipe Nyusi. Built on a 130,000 sqm formerly swampy site, it marked JAT's 20th anniversary in Maputo. The complex comprises five buildings housing the four-star Meliá Maputo Sky hotel with 172 rooms overlooking Maputo Bay, 84 apartments, 156 shops, a supermarket, a gymnasium, offices and parking for 1,800 vehicles. Operated by Spain's Meliá Hotels International, the hotel sits in the heart of the capital's business and financial district and combines contemporary design with functionality.
