About the project

House Mahika is located on the Whale Coast in South Africa. The project was designed by Beat Pfenniger and built by Citra. It uses Citra Building Technology, which enabled a curved architecture that responds to the surrounding terrain. The house is set back from the street and elevated above road level. It integrates with the mountains, fynbos vegetation, and sculpted forms of the site. The building was completed in 2019.
