About the project

Gateway Mall is Malawi's largest shopping centre, developed by MPICO Plc and opened in 2014 in Lilongwe. Located in Area 47 (sector 1) along Kaunda Road near the ABC Clinic, it spans about 18,000 sqm, surpassing Lilongwe's Nico Shopping Mall and Blantyre's Chichiri Shopping Mall. Its strategic position on the Lilongwe–Mchinji road makes it easily accessible to shoppers from Zambia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The mall is anchored by major retailers such as Shoprite and Food Lovers Market, and also offers varied dining — from traditional Malawian dishes to international cuisine — and a cinema screening the latest releases.
