A mixed‑use mini‑city develops around Bloemfontein’s transport hub on the N8 corridor.
The Airport Development Node is a mixed‑use project located in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa. It covers roughly 700 ha north and south of the N8 highway, about 6.5 km east of the city. Phase 1 includes a business hub, an international conference centre, a hotel, a regional shopping mall, tertiary facilities, and medium‑to‑high density apartments and townhouses. Phase 2 will add an industrial node linked to a future cargo terminal and additional mixed‑use areas. Core engineering infrastructure—water, sanitation and electricity—is already in place, with a SANRAL interchange providing site access.
