Nos Zona Smart is a 41.4‑ha smart city project in São Domingos on Santiago Island. It includes 1,244 residential units across nine districts, together with commercial spaces, schools, health services, agriculture and tourism. Backed by the São Domingos municipality, ECREEE and the African Development Bank, the project aims to generate local jobs and promote a circular economy as a prototype for other African cities.
