About
The IDBZ was established on 31 August 2005 by taking over the assets of the former Zimbabwe Development Bank. Its mandate is to promote economic development and improve the living standards of Zimbabweans through infrastructure development in energy, transport, water, sanitation, ICT and housing. The bank operates in the energy, transport, water, sanitation, housing, project finance and banking sectors. It manages projects on its own behalf and on behalf of the government, including housing programmes such as Willsgrove stands, Waneka Flats, the Bulawayo Student Accommodation Complex, the Clipsham 2 Housing Project and the University Students & Staff Accommodation Programme.
